Autumn Leaves

This was a strange year for autumn leaves.  The summer was very dry with absolutely no rain during July and August.  The result was that some trees changed colors early and others were late.  I have divided the pictures by date, in some cases taking pictures at the same place with totally different colors over the period of a month.

This is the northern side of Kissacook Hill after peak.  The brown trees are oaks.

This is another view of the railroad tracks about a mile south of Kissacook Hill.

This is a sumac bush halfway down from the summit of Kissacook Hill.

These are some red berries to the east of Kissacook Hill on the road to town.

These are the last colors of autumn.  This is near the Village and to the southeast of Kissacook Hill.
