Down the Brook

Part 2 - Autumn

Upper beaver pond

The autumn colors lasted long this year.  There was a constant change and each time I took photographs, it was different.  I broke the beaver pond into two parts.  This is the upper part, taken from the road.

The maples are just beginning to change color.

October 8, 2010

There is now more color.  The birch is beginning to turn yellow.

October 10, 2010

Snake Meadow Hill is in the background.  It is still green.

October 13, 2010

There is even more color now.

October 19, 2010

Snake Meadow Hill is just beginning to turn color.

October 21, 2010

A storm front just passed through.  There is stark contrast between the trees and the clouds.  This picture was taken in the afternoon, with the sun just appearing in the western sky.

October 26, 2010

Another picture taken after a passing storm front.  The clouds have a strange color.

This is the road from which these pictures were taken.  My driveway is a few hundred feet down the road.

October 28, 2010

One morning, it was very foggy.  The rising sun was above the fog and the pond looked eerie!

November 2, 2010

The leaves have fallen off the maple and the birch.  All that is left is the rust colored oak trees and the green pines.

November 13, 2010

Most of the color is gone.  These pictures were taken just before sunset.  The location was farther to the south than the other pictures.

December 9, 2010

These are the last pictures before snowfall.
